Nkerewe Alex is a certified Accountant with more than 15 years working experience in finance and audit with international, Private, Government and Multi donor funded projects. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and he is member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), the Association of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).  Am also in the final stages of the Certified Internal Audit Course.

Alex has worked with Uganda Bureau of Statistics for 11 years in Auditing, giving insights to enhance various Bureau processes in governance, risk management and control to achieve the objectives.

Previously he worked in Finance and Accounting within the Bureau for over 5 years, supporting in the budget preparation and execution, designing and implementation of finance controls, reporting and responding to all audit queries arising from the internal and external audits.

He also brings all acquired knowledge of finance and audit in other institutions like Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU), Nation Media Group and donor projects like World Bank, European Union, DFID, USAID.

Overtime he has also provided professional practice of auditing especially in internal auditing outsourced by various organizations and providing technical leadership to Internal Audit departments including quality assurance and improvement programs.
